Frequently asked questions

All about scrubbing your feet

How often can I scrub my feet?
Once a week is enough. If you scrub more often, you damage your skin barrier and your feet actually get drier. With a lot of callus you can do it twice a week for the first weeks, then back to once.
Do I scrub on wet or dry skin?
On damp skin, then the scrub glides more gently. Even better is a foot bath of 5 to 10 minutes first, that makes your skin supple and the scrub works more easily.
Does a scrub remove my calluses?
Not on its own. The scrub keeps your feet soft and smooth, but thick callus is first softened and then filed away with the callus softener. Two different jobs.
Why does my callus always come back in the same place?
Callus forms where your skin keeps getting pressure or friction, from your shoes, a lot of standing or the position of your foot. Well-fitting shoes and applying the DD Cream Mousse every day keep your skin supple. If it stays painful, have it checked by a pedicurist or podiatrist.
Can I scrub with sensitive skin or diabetes?
With sensitive skin yes, but gently: test on a small spot first and scrub softly. With diabetes I recommend having your feet cared for by a pedicurist or podiatrist. Never scrub on open sores or with a fungal infection.
Can I use the scrub on my legs too?
Yes, it also works on your legs and the rest of your body. Pay extra attention to elbows and knees, dead skin cells build up faster there.
