Ellen’s advice
How to choose
Don't fancy polish, but want beautiful, shiny nails? With a polishing file you give your natural nails a healthy shine in just a few minutes.
How to use the Alessandro polishing file: work through the sides in order, first the rough side to smooth the nail plate, then the finer side to polish and finally the smoothest side for shine. Work gently and not too long in one spot, especially on toenails.
Polish no more than once every 2 weeks. Going to apply polish? Then you need a buffer to mattify instead.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know
How often can I buff my nails to a shine?
No more than once every 2 weeks, otherwise your nail plate gets too thin. If your nails are already thin or brittle, use a nail hardener and buff less often.
Can I polish my nails before Striplac?
No, for Striplac you actually make the nail matte. Buffing to a shine is for natural nails without polish.
How do I keep my nails looking good after buffing?
Apply a drop of cuticle oil every evening and wear gloves when washing up.
