How to choose
A French manicure is a timeless classic: a soft base with a white tip. With Striplac you do it yourself at home, using the same lamp and top coat as your regular Striplac.
How to choose:
- Base: French Rose 486 or French White Milky 201, for a soft, natural base.
- Tip: Tip Whitener 484 for the white edge.
- All in 1: the French manicure starter kit, if you don’t have Striplac at home yet.
Paint the white tip from the side towards the centre of your nail and keep the line thin, it looks most natural. Want a different base? Browse all Striplac colours. The full step-by-step plan is under Striplac.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know
How do you get a clean French line?
Practice. Use a thin brush or French tip stickers as a guide and work from the side towards the centre of your nail. A cotton bud dipped in remover fixes small mistakes before your top coat.
Which base colour should you use for a French manicure?
A light pink or nude shade gives the classic effect. For a more modern look, choose a sheer beige or light lilac base. With a white tip it always works.
Is a French manicure suitable for short nails?
Yes. A thin white tip even makes short nails look longer. Keep the line thin and choose a slightly warmer white for the most natural result.
