How to choose
After curing your Striplac or gel polish, the top layer sometimes feels sticky. That sticky layer is normal: the top layer of gel is in contact with oxygen and so doesn't cure completely. With a nail cleanser it's gone in seconds.
- Quick and easy: the Striplac cleansing wipes, also in a travel pack.
- With a liquid: the Mii Cosmetics refine + finish gel cleanser, together with the Alessandro cotton nail wipes.
- Extra shine: the Alessandro glossy finish for a glossy result.
Use a nail wipe instead of regular cotton wool so no fibres are left on your nails. Everything to finish your nails is in Striplac.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know
Can I use regular alcohol instead of a cleanser?
Pure isopropyl alcohol works as an alternative. A nail cleanser made for gel polish does give a cleaner, glossier finish.
Does every top coat leave a sticky layer?
No, there are also no-wipe top coats without a sticky layer. Check the product description to see whether you need a cleanser. Most Alessandro top coats do.
What if I forget to remove the sticky layer?
Dust and fibres will stick to your nails and your polish looks dull. You can still wipe it off afterwards with a cleanser.
