That is completely normal. These areas naturally have more pigment cells, and hormones, shaving, waxing and friction from clothing make the skin there darken faster. It has nothing to do with hygiene.
On the skin of the pubic area, the groin, the armpits, the knees and the elbows. In the intimate area, use it only on the outer skin, where hair also grows. Not on the moist, pink mucous membranes and not on the inside of the labia.
Count on weeks to months of consistent use. The gel slows down pigment production, so the skin gradually looks more even. If the cause remains, such as frequent shaving or friction, the discolouration can come back.
A light tingling is possible, the skin there is thin and the gel contains active ingredients. If it feels too strong, use it less often. A thin layer is enough.
No. During a laser treatment course, leave the roll-on aside. My tip: finish your hair removal first and work on the discolouration afterwards.
