Frequently asked questions

All about the pro file 240/240

Who is the pro file 240/240 for?

For anyone with natural nails who wants to file gently. The fine grit removes very little, so it is very suitable for thin, soft or brittle nails. You also use it to finish the edge after a coarser file.

How do I file my nails without them splitting?
  1. File on dry nails.
  2. Work in one direction, from the side towards the middle. Do not saw back and forth.
  3. Use little pressure and let the file do the work.
  4. Finally, go gently over the edge so no sharp corners remain.
What does 240/240 mean on a nail file?

The number is the grit of the file. The higher the number, the finer the file. 240 is fine, and both sides are equally fine. A 100 file is coarse and removes a lot faster.

Which file do I need alongside the 240/240?

If you also want to shorten your nails a lot, that goes faster with a coarser side. The pink pro file 100/180 has a coarse and a fine side. For toenails I recommend the High Speed file 100/100. Then use the 240/240 to gently finish the edge.
