How to choose
A serum is a concentrated treatment you apply after cleansing and before your moisturiser. It targets 1 skin concern. Here you’ll find serums from PCA Skin, Institut Esthederm, Routinely, Mokosh and Self, among others.
How to choose for your skin:
- Dry skin: a hyaluronic acid serum, which attracts moisture and holds it in your skin.
- Pigmentation or dull skin: a vitamin C serum, in the morning and always with SPF on top.
- Fine lines: peptides or retinol. Use retinol only in the evening and build up slowly.
- Blemishes and large pores: niacinamide, which calms redness, refines pores and regulates oil production.
- Redness: a calming serum, such as PCA Anti-Redness Serum or Routinely Barrier Boost B3.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know
How do you use a serum properly?
After cleansing and toning, before your moisturiser. Apply it to slightly damp skin so it absorbs better. A serum is concentrated: one drop or half a pump is enough.
When will you see results from a serum?
Give it at least 4 to 6 weeks before you judge the result. Consistency makes the difference, not the price. Use it every day in the same way.
Can you combine several serums?
Yes, but start with 1 serum and only add a second once your skin is used to it. Don’t use retinol and vitamin C at the same time: retinol in the evening, vitamin C in the morning.
