Frequently asked questions

All about the banana file 100/100

What do I use a banana file 100/100 for?

The banana file is a coarse file for quickly shortening and shaping nails. It is suitable for toenails, strong natural nails and for shortening gel or acrylic nails. Thanks to its curved shape it sits comfortably in your hand.

Isn't a 100/100 file too coarse for my fingernails?

For thin or soft fingernails it is often too coarse. Those are better filed with the pink pro file 100/180, which has a coarse and a fine side, or with the soft pro file 240/240. The 100/100 is mainly for toenails, strong nails and calluses along the nail edge.

How do I file with the banana file?
  1. File on dry nails.
  2. Work with light strokes in one direction, from the side towards the middle.
  3. First shorten to the length you want, then create the shape.
  4. Finish the edge with a finer file so it is smooth.
Can I use the banana file for my pedicure at home?

Yes. Toenails are usually thicker, and a coarse file works faster there. You can also carefully tidy up calluses along the edge of your toenail with it. My tip: file your toenails straight across and do not file the corners too deep.

What is the difference with the High Speed file 100/100?

Both files have the same coarse 100/100 grit. The difference is the shape: the banana file is curved. Choose the file that feels best in your hand, the High Speed file 100/100 does the same job.
