Which PCA Skin Therapy cleanser is best suited for your skin?
PCA offers several excellent facial cleansers, but it's important to use one that's tailored to your skin type. In this video, I'll explain which cleanser is best for you.
PCAskin is a brand used in America only by doctors and dermatologists because it contains so many active ingredients in the highest possible percentages. This is crucial for achieving good skin improvement results and keeping skin radiant and in top condition.
There are 3 liquid cleansers, 3 bars, an oil, and 3 toners to finish your cleansing, plus 1 granular cleanser. It seems like a lot, but of course, not all of it is suitable for your skin.
Let me first explain what skin type the liquid cleansers are for.
You have the creamy cleanser , a mild, hydrating cleansing milk for normal and sensitive skin . Skin that tends to redden easily, like if you have rosacea, those broken blood vessels you see just beneath the skin.
The facial wash oily contains anti-inflammatory ingredients , which makes it so good for impure skin and skin with acne , it will purify your skin well to eliminate impurities and due to its anti-inflammatory effect it soothes the inflammation of an active pimple or cyst under the skin.
The facial wash is good for a thicker, dull skin or when your skin texture is not completely even . If you use PCA for the first time, I usually recommend using the facial wash oily first because that cleanser is a little gentler. Sometimes the skin has to get used to the active ingredients of PCA. When your skin is used to the facial wash oily, you can switch to this one.
Then we have 3 bars
The daily cleansing bar has been discontinued since 2022. (So be careful if you find it online, as it's been out of production for a few years now.)
The blemish control bar is a cleansing bar specifically for blemished and acne-prone skin . I use it myself and alternate it with the oily facial wash. Sometimes I prefer a liquid cleanser, other times I prefer to cleanse with a sponge. As you can see, my blemish control bar is almost empty. And now, instead of this one, I'm going to use the pigment bar. Especially during and after the summer, my pigment spots are at their darkest, and I want to lighten them as much as possible.
So the pigment bar is for skin that is sensitive to hyperpigmentation, which are dark spots on your face that become darker especially during the summer, due to the sun.
and then you have the dry skin relief bar : for sensitive skin, skin with eczema, psoriasis, bumps on the arms , is also good for skin that has flakes on the face, which often happens towards winter.
This oil is the daily cleansing oil , which you can use as a pre-cleanser for your other cleanser, for example, if you're wearing more makeup or prefer to cleanse twice. It's also good for flaky skin, which often has both flakes and a lot of impurities . You can cleanse this skin with the daily cleansing oil.
The make-up removing wipes no longer exist, they have been out of production since 2021.
Afterwards, I still use the smoothing toner ; it's my personal favorite for my blemishes . It really improves and refines my skin texture . It might tingle a bit at first, but that's normal. It's alcohol-free and helps refine pores and removes dead skin cells , making your skin look healthier. It's an ideal lotion for oily and inflammatory skin.
The nutrient toner is also effective against enlarged pores. As you age, your pores often become more visible due to the loss of firmness in your skin. It also removes superficial dead skin cells.
And lastly, a hydrating toner is also suitable for sensitive skin . It ensures that your skin retains moisture better, so it is also good for skin with fine dryness lines .
Then I have one more cleanser, thedaily exfoliant . It's called daily, but I always recommend using it two or three times a week . It's a deep cleanser with grains . It renews and refines the skin's texture . I really notice an extra glow the next day.
